Bringing the boardroom online
Applies when KindHOA hosts DNS for a domain you already registered elsewhere (nameserver move). You remain the registrant at your registrar. This is not a domain registration or transfer.
DNS Hosting is an annual add-on ($29.99/year) where KindHOA creates and manages a Cloudflare DNS zone for a domain name you already own, configures website records so your KindHOA public site can resolve on that domain, and keeps the zone ready for optional Community Email. KindHOA does not become the domain registrant and does not renew the name at the registry on your behalf.
You represent that you are authorized to control the domain for your homeowners association. You must point the domain's nameservers to the Cloudflare nameservers KindHOA provides and keep them pointed there while you expect managed website or Community Email service to work. You remain responsible for renewing and paying for the domain registration at your existing registrar (for example GoDaddy or Namecheap). If the registration expires or you change nameservers away from KindHOA, website and email services on that domain will stop working.
Community Email uses Cloudflare Email Routing and requires exclusive MX (and related) records on the domain. It cannot share the apex mail role with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or another mailbox host. Enabling Community Email may replace prior MX and related mail authentication records in the KindHOA-hosted zone. Do not edit MX, SPF, or DKIM records yourself while Community Email is active. Website-only bring-your-own DNS (A and CNAME at your registrar) is a separate, free Board Automation capability and does not include Community Email.
KindHOA charges your HOA board billing card only (no bank/ACH) each year for the DNS Hosting entitlement while auto-renew remains on. This charge is for KindHOA DNS hosting and related platform service — not a registry renewal. If your card charge fails near period end, or you turn off auto-renew, KindHOA stops the entitlement and cancels Community Email on that domain. KindHOA may remove website DNS and Email Routing from the zone. Changing nameservers back at your registrar is your responsibility; there is no registrar transfer-out auth code for DNS Hosting alone.
If KindHOA fails to create or activate DNS hosting after your payment succeeds, we will refund the charge. We do not refund successful activations for change of plans, failure to update nameservers, or typos in the domain name you submitted.
Moving the domain registration itself into KindHOA (Cloudflare Registrar under KindHOA’s account) is optional, separate, and not self-serve today. Contact support if you want that path. Until a transfer completes, this DNS Hosting Agreement — not the Domain Registration Agreement — governs the add-on.
This agreement supplements the KindHOA Terms of Service. Board Automation and other platform features are separate. Community Email has its own agreement and requires active KindHOA-hosted DNS (DNS Hosting or a KindHOA-registered Managed Domain).
