Applies when you buy or renew a community domain through KindHOA. Domains are registered with Cloudflare Registrar under KindHOA’s account.
The Managed Domain add-on is an annual service where KindHOA registers a domain name for your homeowners association via Cloudflare Registrar, configures DNS so your KindHOA public website resolves on that domain, and renews the registration while the add-on remains active and paid.
You represent that the registrant contact you submit (organization name, mailing address, email, and phone) is accurate and that you are authorized to register the domain for that association. ICANN and registry rules require accurate WHOIS / RDAP data. Providing false information can result in suspension or cancellation of the domain without refund. You remain responsible for keeping that contact information accurate. After registration, ICANN may require you to verify the registrant email via a one-time link sent to that address; you must complete that verification to keep the domain in good standing.
Domain registrations are non-refundable once the registry creates the domain. If KindHOA fails to complete registration after your payment succeeds, we will refund the charge. We do not refund successful registrations for buyer’s remorse, typos in the domain name, or change of plans.
Managed domains default to auto-renew at KindHOA. We charge your HOA board billing card only (no bank/ACH) $29.99/year, about 45 days before expiry, after email notice. Cloudflare registrar auto-renew stays off until that charge succeeds, so KindHOA is not billed at wholesale unless you have already paid the retail year. A live board card is required to keep auto-renew; if there is no card (or it is expired or is a bank account), we turn Cloudflare auto-renew off immediately, notify billing managers, and the name expires on the stated date unless you add a card. If the charge succeeds, we then enable Cloudflare auto-renew so the registry year is paid. If the charge fails or you turn off auto-renew / choose Let this address expire, we keep Cloudflare auto-renew off, stop the entitlement at expiry, detach the website and Community Email, and do not hold or park the name. You may request a transfer-out via Essentials while the domain remains registered (authorization codes are not sent by email).
For KindHOA-managed domains we host DNS on Cloudflare and set website records (apex A and www CNAME to our hosting, DNS-only / not proxied). Optional add-ons such as Community Email may add MX and related records. You agree not to change nameservers away from KindHOA while expecting managed website or email service to continue working. Community Email (including Board Presence) has its own Community Email Agreement and needs ongoing Board Automation — if Board Automation ends, board@ turns off; the managed web address can stay.
This agreement supplements the KindHOA Terms of Service. Platform features (including Board Automation) are separate from this add-on. Free subdomains on kindhoa.com and bring-your-own domain connections remain governed by the general Terms.
